SummerLark is an annual benefit concert to support the Cancer Patient Support Program which provides individual counseling, support groups, various financial services for patients and their family members. Every dollar donated goes towards helping make sure no one in our community faces cancer alone.

Barenaked Ladies have sold more than 15 million albums, earned Grammy nominations, and won multiple Juno Awards, and in 2018, were inducted into the Canadian Music Hall of Fame. The band is known for hits like “One Week” and “If I Had $1,000,000” and have become an institution, with a passionately dedicated audience (enough for them to headline their own cruises and have an ice cream flavor named after them) and a constant flow of new fans (plenty of whom discover the band through their theme song to the endlessly popular The Big Bang Theory.) We can’t wait to welcome them back to Winston-Salem!

Adding to the excitement, local Winston-Salem band Crenshaw Pentecostal will be kicking off the evening with their Americana-tinged rock and roll. Featuring the stellar lineup of Dusty Redmon, Brian Norris, and Zach Tilley, these musicians have shared stages with icons like Bon Jovi, Gin Blossoms, Old 97s, Futurebirds, Tyler Bryant, and more. Their electrifying performance will set the perfect tone for an unforgettable night.

SummerLark 2024 Chairs

Brian Vannoy

Brian Vannoy, CRC, is Senior Executive Vice President/Chief Revenue Officer of Allegacy Federal Credit Union. He also serves as Managing Director of Allegacy Services, LLC, a credit union service organization (“CUSO”), wholly-owned by Allegacy Federal Credit Union. As managing director, he is responsible for Allegacy’s CUSOs, through which Allegacy extends the value it brings to its members, community, and the credit union movement. He is a 2009 graduate of Leadership Winston-Salem and currently serves on the Winston Salem State University Foundation board and the Greensboro Chamber of Commerce.

Dixon Douglas

Dixon Douglas is the Director of Partnerships and Customer Loyalty for Flow Automotive and a small business owner of two CycleBar studios located in Winston-Salem and Greensboro. As a native of Winston-Salem, Dixon has had a long history tied to the Cancer Patient Support Program from family history with the inception of Winterlark to his personal, local fundraising program called CycleGiving. Dixon and his wife, Gaines, have two beautiful daughters, Beverly and Wells.
