A group of senior golfers who raise money annually for local charities made its first-ever gift to support Brenner Children’s with proceeds from its 2021 golf season.
The Seniors Wonderful World of Golf (SWWG), based in Forsyth County, is for people ages 55 and older. Group members play 16 events each year at courses throughout the Piedmont Triad. Since 2015, approximately 10% of each member’s tournament fees have been directed to a charity fund, with members making additional donations if they choose.
The group donated $1,000 to Brenner Children’s to help patient families cover costs of food and parking.
