We're in This Together
As we navigate this unusual and rapidly evolving time, we recognize that people want to unify and support one another. Learn about the variety of ways you can help here in your community.
As the impact of the novel coronavirus (COVID-19) continues to develop, the Atrium Health Wake Forest Baptist system is working diligently to care for you and your family. As we work to protect our patients and staff, we are grateful for the support and generosity we have received from our communities.
Given the strain on our system’s resources to address this situation, your support is needed and appreciated.
Our region is depending on Wake Forest Baptist and, with your partnership, we will deliver together.
Lisa Marshall, Chief Philanthropy Officer, talks about the patient and health care needs of COVID-19

- Resources to support our Employee Emergency Fund
- Support for patients who may not have insurance coverage or resources to address care-related expenses
- Support for diagnostic and testing services
- Educational and training expenses associated with redeploying health care workers to the areas of greatest need

Heartfelt Appreciation for Our Corporate Partners
During this critical time, our corporate and community partners are helping ensure that we are ready and able to protect and serve our patients, our staff and our community. Words cannot express how much we appreciate your donations and your support not just of our health care workers but of each other, too.
Thanks to these business partners – and others – for stepping up to support our efforts!
If you have questions about corporate donations or how you can help, please contact us at COVID19support@wakehealth.edu.
Donate Supplies
Wake Forest Baptist, along with other health care systems across the country, is looking at every possible way to conserve personal protective equipment (PPE) throughout this COVID-19 crisis. We will accept donated supplies to be allocated to the areas of greatest needs as it relates to the COVID-19 response.
For questions regarding donations from businesses or community members wanting to help, please email us at COVID19Support@wakehealth.edu. Donations can be dropped off at one of our donation sites or shipped.
WFBH will consider any of the following items for donations:
Most Urgent Needs
- N95 masks
- Surgical masks
- Surgical masks with shield
- Nasal swabs for medical use
Other Needs
- Disinfectant
- Eye protection, including safety goggles/glasses
- Face shield
- Gloves, disposable
- Gowns, disposable
- Hand sanitizer, greater than 60% alcohol
- Hand soap
- Shoe covers, disposable
- Handmade masks*
*For homemade masks - please use clean, cotton fabric that is tightly woven on both sides, and sew on a clean work surface. Please place face masks in Ziploc-style plastic bags for donation. Here are three potential patterns as reference only:
Wake Forest Baptist Health does not endorse any one pattern and is grateful for any donations of homemade face masks that can be provided. Fabric masks present a crisis response option for reducing the spread of viruses such as COVID-19 by catching infectious droplets emitted by the wearer, thereby reducing the risk of exposure to others.
At this time, we plan to provide fabric masks to patients at check-in entry points upon arrival at our facilities. We do not currently plan to distribute fabric masks to our health care workers.
