It only takes one person to start making a difference – and by sharing your time and energy you can make a positive impact on the Atrium Health Wake Forest Baptist community in so many ways. Whether through volunteering at a fundraiser, sharing your skills at one of our patient care locations or taking part in one of our other engagement opportunities, your efforts directly impact our patients and community.
We encourage you to get involved with Wake Forest Baptist — it’s rewarding for everyone.
Some events and volunteer opportunities are currently suspended due to the COVID-19 virus, although there are many ways you can still stay engaged. Please see each opportunity for details.
Start a Fundraiser
You don’t need experience to host a fundraiser to support Wake Forest Baptist — just the energy and enthusiasm to make it happen. From peer-to-peer fundraising to hosting a yard sale, your efforts will make a difference.
Become a Friend of Brenner Children’s
The Friends of Brenner Children's is a group of dedicated volunteers who support the hospital through fundraising and community awareness activities. We are always looking for dedicated volunteers to donate their time and energy to making a difference to the children in our community.
Volunteer at Our Signature Events
Our two signature events — SummerLark and Cheers! — raise significant funds for our patients, families, researchers and facilities. Help by being one of the volunteers who makes these events possible.
BeInvolved
BeInvolved is an opportunity for volunteers to learn more about clinical studies conducted at Wake Forest Baptist. As an academic medical center, Wake Forest Baptist conducts hundreds of clinical studies that offer you an opportunity to participate in finding ways to improve health care. People might volunteer because they lost a relative to a disease and want to help further studies in that field. Whatever the reason, participating in a clinical study is your chance to help bring about advances in science and health care.
Many clinical studies have specific criteria required of participants. However, you do not necessarily need to have an illness to volunteer. Healthy people are frequently needed for clinical studies.
Clinical trials are managed by professionals, including an MD or PhD faculty with specific expertise in the disease area, who has research experience.
Volunteer Throughout Our Hospital Community
Share your time and talents with the patients, guests and staff of Wake Forest Baptist as a volunteer, and you’ll benefit the entire community. We have diverse opportunities available throughout the area. Find the one that best matches your interests!
