The 17th annual Cheers! for Brenner Children’s raised $522,443 during the month of November, living up to the theme “Make Dreams Come True” for children and families at the region’s only children’s hospital.
Cheers! benefits the Brenner Children’s Patient Assistance Fund, which assists families with financial burdens associated with caring for a sick child, including travel expenses, medications, meals, bereavement services, home health equipment and much more.
The highlight was An Evening of Cheers!, livestreamed online from Truist Baseball Stadium on Nov. 12. The event was emceed by WGHP-TV Fox 8 news anchor Chad Tucker and his wife, Meredith.
The fundraising continued throughout November, as presenting sponsor Simply Southern matched all gifts to Cheers! up to $200,000.
