The signature event to benefit the Cancer Patient Support Program was, this year, reimagined and titled SummerLark. With a peer-to-peer fundraising campaign from May 2 through June 5 and a summer concert June 4, the event reached more supporters than ever before.
A VIP event kicked off SummerLark, and Rich McQuellon, PhD, was honored for his dedication to the Cancer Patient Support Program.
Aloe Blacc headlined the SummerLark June concert on the lawn of Bailey Park in downtown Winston-Salem. Aloe Blacc is best known for writing and performing vocals on “Wake Me Up,” which topped the charts in 22 countries. Nashville recording artist and Wilkes County native Alex Key opened the show with an exciting performance.
